For a laid-back little beach getaway at a luxurious resort, Punta Mita, Mexico is really a no-brainer. A gated enclave just an hour north of Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita is home to the Four Seasons Punta Mita, the St. Regis Punta Mita, and numerous private homes and villas. Of course, the two luxury resorts mentioned are both 5*, beautifully appointed and have fabulous friendly service. They differ in that the St. Regis is a bit smaller than the Four Seasons, which makes for a very lovely couples getaway or honeymoon!
The St. Regis is furnished simply, with great Mexican touches such as pops of color in the rooms and saltillo tiles on the floor. But there are unmistakable 5* touches such as butler service and an outdoor shower for every single room! About 1/4 of the available 120 accommodations are suites, with the rest being rooms housed in two-story, tiled-roof casitas. For extra luxury or for a small group, such as an extended family getaway, book one of the 1-3 bedroom suites with private pools and direct beachfront access.
There are truly enough amenities to keep both families and couples happy here (family pool, adults-only pool, kids club for ages 5-12).. though overall I see this resort as a bit of quiet sophistication on Punta Mita.. so if you are looking for a low-key getaway but want to feel pampered at the same time, the St. Regis Punta Mita is for you!
I am pleased to be able to offer my clients the following complimentary amenities at the St. Regis:
- Upgrade on arrival, subject to availability
- Daily full breakfast, for up to two in room guests
- $100 USD Equivalent Spa Services credit,
- to be utilized during stay (not combinable, no cash value if not redeemed in full)
- Early check-in/late check-out
- subject to availability

Mita Mary’s is the cutest little beach shack.. pull up a chair for a casual lunch of fish tacos and a margarita!

Too fun! A Coco Loco station on the beach. A yummy spiked concoction of rums, pineapple juice, and coconut cream! Perfect to enjoy while relaxing in the sand.
